What is GASF?

The GASF certifies forensic skills for smartphones and mobile devices. The exam covers mobile forensics fundamentals and forensic investigations, the analysis of device file systems and mobile application behaviour, and event artefact analysis and the identification and analysis of malware on mobile devices. It is aligned with the SANS course FOR585. According to GIAC it addresses experienced forensic examiners, media exploitation analysts, information security professionals, incident response teams, law enforcement officers, federal agents and investigators, and accident reconstruction investigators.
