Overview
What is CCSP?
The CCSP is considered the leading certification for cloud security architects and professionals, covering all six domains of cloud security, from architecture and design to legal and compliance topics. Since October 2025, the exam uses Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT), which makes the exam length dynamic and enables statistically sound assessment. The certification requires substantial professional experience and is clearly aimed at experienced professionals – not beginners. An active CISSP certification can replace the entire experience requirement, which represents a sensible upgrade path for CISSP holders. Starting August 2026, a new Exam Outline with explicit AI security integration across all domains will be introduced.
