What is PECB Lead Cloud Security Manager?
The PECB Certified Lead Cloud Security Manager certifies holders to build, operate, and continuously improve a cloud security program based on ISO/IEC 27017 and ISO/IEC 27018. The five-day training covers migration best practices, cloud-specific controls, incident management, and continuous improvement and awards 31 CPD credits. The exam is an open-book test with multiple-choice and essay items, 70 percent passing score. Full Lead credentialing requires five years of professional experience (two in cloud security), lower tiers (Provisional, Cloud Security Manager) are available without those requirements. In the DACH market the credential serves as cloud specialization next to ISO 27001 and competes thematically with (ISC)2 CCSP, which explicitly references ISO/IEC 27017 and 27018.

Certification is tiered: Provisional Manager with no experience; Manager needs 2 years of professional experience (1 year in cloud security) and 200 hours of project activities; Lead Manager needs 5 years (2 years in cloud security) and 300 hours; Senior Lead Manager needs 10 years (7 years in cloud security) and 1,000 hours. Plus signing the PECB Code of Ethics.
