What is GCFR?

The GCFR certifies forensics and incident response skills for cloud environments. The exam covers log generation, collection, storage, and retention in the cloud, identifying malicious and anomalous activity affecting cloud resources, and extracting data from cloud environments for forensic investigations. It is aligned with the SANS course FOR509. According to GIAC it addresses incident response team members, security operations centre analysts, threat hunters, federal agents and law enforcement professionals, experienced forensic analysts, and SANS DFIR alumni.
