What is GEIR?

The GEIR certifies incident response at enterprise scale. The exam covers leading and coordinating incident response teams, enterprise-wide incident detection and threat hunting, large-scale event correlation and timeline analysis, and artefact analysis across multiple platforms, meaning Windows, Linux, macOS, containers, and cloud environments. It is aligned with the SANS course FOR608. According to GIAC it addresses incident response team leads and advanced practitioners, threat hunting professionals, experienced forensic analysts, detection engineers, federal agents and law enforcement, and SANS DFIR alumni.
