What is GIME?

The GIME certifies forensic skills for Apple platforms. The exam covers macOS and iOS file systems, system triage and application data, incident response on both platforms, malware and intrusion analysis, and the analysis of user data and timelines. It is aligned with the SANS course FOR518. According to GIAC it addresses experienced forensic analysts, law enforcement officers and investigators, media exploitation analysts, incident response team members, IT security professionals interested in macOS and iOS system knowledge, and SANS DFIR alumni.
