What is GNFA?

The GNFA certifies network forensics skills. The exam covers network architecture, protocols, and protocol reverse engineering, encryption and encoding techniques and attacks against them, NetFlow analysis and attack visualisation, network analysis tools and open source security proxies, and security event and incident logging. It is aligned with the SANS course FOR572. According to GIAC it addresses incident response team members, forensic analysts, threat hunters, law enforcement, security operations centre staff, and network defenders.
