What is GOSI?

The GOSI certifies a methodical approach to open source collection. The exam covers OSINT methodologies, data collection, analysis and reporting, harvesting data from the dark web, and the fundamentals and practical aspects of operational security. It is aligned with the SANS course SEC497. According to GIAC it addresses incident responders, forensic and security analysts, penetration testers, law enforcement, private investigators, insurance investigators, recruiters, and researchers.
