What is GREM?
The GREM certifies the ability to take malware apart and understand it. The exam covers malware analysis through code and behavioural analysis, Windows assembly concepts for reverse engineering, in-depth analysis of malicious executables and self-defending malware, and the analysis of malicious document files, .NET programmes, and protected executables. It is aligned with the SANS course FOR610. According to GIAC it addresses system and network administrators, auditors, security consultants and managers, forensic investigators and security practitioners, and professionals with experience from malware incidents.
