What is GSOC?

The GSOC certifies skills in running a security operations centre. The exam covers monitoring and incident response using incident management systems, threat intelligence platforms and SIEMs, analysing and defending against the most common attacks targeting enterprises, and designing, automating, and enriching security operations for efficiency. It is aligned with the SANS course SEC450. According to GIAC it addresses security analysts, incident investigators, security engineers and architects, technical security managers, SOC managers looking for additional technical perspective, and blue team newcomers.
