What is A+?
CompTIA A+ is the entry-level credential for IT support and endpoint work. It is the only CompTIA certification made up of two separate exams: Core 1 and Core 2 must both be passed, and both must come from the same version, mixing versions is not allowed. The current version is V15 with exam codes 220-1201 and 220-1202. Twelve months of hands-on experience in a support role is recommended. The exams are offered in English, German and Japanese.

Exam format
Two exams (Core 1 + Core 2), max. 90 questions each, 90 minutes each, proctored via Pearson VUE. Passing score: 675/900 and 700/900 respectively.
Renewal & maintenance
Valid for 3 years. Renewal through 20 CEUs or higher-level CompTIA cert (stacking) or re-exam.
