What is GDAT?

The GDAT certifies skills for defending against advanced, targeted attacks. The exam covers advanced persistent threat models and methods, detecting and preventing payload delivery, exploitation and post-exploitation, using cyber deception for threat hunting and incident response, and conducting adversary emulation. It is aligned with the SANS course SEC599. According to GIAC it addresses blue, red, and purple team personnel, security architects, and IT administrators.
