What is PECB 42001SLI?
The PECB ISO/IEC 42001 Senior Lead Implementer is the senior tier for AIMS implementation. The upgrade requires several years of practical experience implementing AI Management Systems or comparable governance experience plus an application; no new exam. Senior status supersedes the Lead Implementer administratively; AMF is paid once for the senior cert.

Experience-based senior upgrade. Requires passing the PECB ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam, ten years of professional experience (seven of them in AI), 1,000 hours of AIMS project work, two professional references, and signing the PECB Code of Ethics (per PECB's standard scheme).
Exam format
No separate senior exam. It is based on the Lead Implementer exam: multiple choice, open book, per PECB's standard scheme around 3 hours across six competency domains, online or paper-based. Senior status is granted via proof of experience in the myPECB application, not an additional exam.
Renewal & maintenance
Valid for 3 years. Maintained via an annual maintenance fee (120 USD) and CPD evidence plus ongoing adherence to the PECB Code of Ethics.
