What is PECB LEH?
The PECB Certified Lead Ethical Hacker certifies holders to plan, execute, and report penetration tests according to industry standards. The five-day training covers information gathering, threat modeling, exploitation, privilege escalation, pivoting, and reporting and awards 35 CPD credits. The exam is a hands-on practical test under open-book conditions, requiring candidates to compromise at least two target machines and document them in a report. Full Lead tier requires two years of relevant professional experience in penetration testing, lower tiers (Provisional, Ethical Hacker) are available without that requirement. In the DACH market the exam is a PECB-specific alternative to OSCP and CEH Practical, with advantages for buyers requiring ISO/IEC 17024 personal certification accreditation.
