What is EISM?

The EISM is EC-Council's entry level towards the CCISO. It addresses candidates who do not yet have the professional experience the CCISO requires. According to the provider the courseware is the same as in the CCISO programme, but the exam covers the fundamentals of information security management rather than the full depth of the CCISO domains. The provider requires no professional experience for the exam itself but makes attendance of the official training mandatory. According to the provider, EISM holders later receive advantages when applying for the CCISO.
