What is PECB 27001SLA?
The PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Senior Lead Auditor is the senior tier of the Lead Auditor track. It targets experienced auditors with documented audit history (typically 5+ years of relevant experience and 300+ audit hours). The upgrade does not require a new exam but an application with evidence of experience. In practice it administratively supersedes the Lead Auditor: it replaces the Lead Auditor entry on audit CVs and the annual maintenance fee (AMF) is paid only for the senior tier.

Prerequisites
No formal prerequisite to sit the exam; the same exam as Lead Auditor is taken. The Senior Lead Auditor certification requires 10 years of professional experience (7 years in information security), 1,000 hours of audit activities, and signing the PECB Code of Ethics.
Exam format
The same exam as the Lead Auditor is taken: 80 multiple-choice questions (stand-alone and scenario-based), open-book, 3 hours, 70 percent passing score. The senior level requires no separate exam, only more professional experience.
