Overview

What is PECB Cybersecurity Foundation?

The PECB Certificate Holder in Cybersecurity Foundation is the entry tier of the PECB cybersecurity curriculum and the successor to the ISO/IEC 27032 Foundation that was retired on 15 Jan 2024. The two-day training combines ISO/IEC 27032 with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and covers basics of threats, vulnerabilities, and protective measures. The exam is a one-hour closed-book multiple-choice test with a 70 percent passing score. Foundation credentials require no prior experience, the certificate is lifetime, and there are no CPD obligations. In the DACH market the tier serves mainly as an awareness building block and a stepping stone to the Lead Cybersecurity Manager.
