Overview
What is PECB 27701F?
The PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Foundation targets newcomers who want to understand the basic principles of a Privacy Information Management System per ISO 27701. The exam is a one-hour closed-book multiple-choice test covering PIMS fundamentals and PIMS structure. The Foundation level requires no prior experience and grants 14 CPD credits from course attendance. It is positioned as a preparation step toward Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor tracks and has limited standalone market value for senior roles. In the DACH market the Foundation tier is rarely seen but serves as a low-cost entry into the PECB scheme.
