What is PECB 27701LA?
The PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Auditor qualifies holders to lead audits of a Privacy Information Management System per ISO 27701. The exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions across seven domains (PIMS fundamentals, ISO 27701 requirements, and the full audit lifecycle), is open-book, and requires a 70 percent passing score. Full Lead Auditor credentialing requires five years of professional experience (two in privacy management) plus 300 audit hours; lower tiers (Provisional, Auditor) are available without those requirements. The training course covers five days and grants 31 CPD credits. The certificate positions itself as the audit counterpart to the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor world and is especially relevant for certification bodies offering 27701 audits.
