What is PECB 27701LI?

The PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer certifies holders to establish and operate a Privacy Information Management System as an extension of ISO 27001. The exam consists of 12 scenario-based essay questions across seven domains, is open-book, and requires a 70 percent passing score. Full Lead Implementer credentialing requires five years of professional experience (two in privacy management) plus 300 project hours; lower tiers (Provisional, Implementer) are available without those requirements. Its strength lies in direct alignment with the ISO standard and a defined training curriculum worth 31 CPD credits. In the DACH market the 27701 family is still young but relevant where organizations want to integrate ISO 27001 with GDPR implementation.
