Overview
What is PECB LPTP?
The PECB Certified Lead Pen Test Professional is the methodology and program tier of the PECB pen test track, complementing the more technical Lead Ethical Hacker with methodology, scoping, and reporting under professional standards. The five-day training covers pre-engagement, reconnaissance, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, exploitation, post-exploitation, and reporting and awards 31 CPD credits. The exam is a two-part practical test with a lab exercise and a written report, open-book and exam fee included in the training price. Prerequisites are a fundamental understanding of penetration testing and cybersecurity. In the DACH market the scheme positions itself as a program-level pen test manager credential, less well known than CREST CRT or GIAC GPEN but with the ISO/IEC 17024 accreditation advantage.
